About Isle&
Isle& was founded in 2025 by Lakshan Madurasinghe, shaped by a long-standing love for Sri Lanka and a quiet frustration with how narrowly the island was being experienced. While his work spans consultancy, regional leadership roles for global MNCs, INGOs, and training p& developnent, the island has always remained personal. Through years of exposure to a more rarefied, global world, he came to see Sri Lanka not as it was commonly sold, but as it truly is—layered, intimate, and naturally romantic.
What became clear was the gap. Much of travel focused on scale and familiarity, designed for the many rather than for those seeking depth. Yet Sri Lanka offered something different: hidden villas, secluded landscapes, unspoken moments, and experiences that felt inherently made for love, but rarely curated with care. Isle& was created to honour that quieter side of the island and to connect it with those who would truly value it.
Our ethos is rooted in thoughtfulness and restraint. We believe the most meaningful experiences are not advertised or repeated. Privacy matters. Access is considered. Every journey is shaped with respect—for the island, for its people, the culture and for the relationships at the heart of each experience. Isle& is not about seeing more, but about feeling more, and leaving with something that stays long after the journey ends.
Message from our founder
“I want to tell you something honestly.
Sri Lanka gives so much more than most people ever see. Not because it is hidden deliberately, but because it only opens up when you come with time, care, and a certain way of loving. When you are not rushing. When you are not collecting experiences and itineraries. When you are present with the person you came with.
I have watched people arrive here and leave having barely touched what makes this island special. And I have watched others stay, slow down, and fall in love not just with Sri Lanka, but with each other all over again. That difference has always mattered to me.
Isle& exists because I wanted to share Sri Lanka the way I know it. As a land made for love. What we create is personal, and it is not meant to be compared. It is meant to be cherished.
And it can remain entirely yours, a memory and a secret, for as long as you choose.”
